FAQs
Can I drop my child off at the playground and leave?
Every child at Monkey Do must have a responsible adult supervising them. This will typically be the child’s parent. Occasionally, parents of children will also bring a friend of their children, and we require that parent to serve as the responsible adult to supervise all children they bring to Monkey Do. Monkey Do staffers are present and observe the play areas for general safety, but are not responsible for your child, or your child’s behavior, and cannot directly supervise other children you have brought with you. We do not offer drop-off or daycare services.
Can I drop my child off for a party and leave?
You may only drop off a child and leave if the party host is capable of and willing to supervise your child as well as her or his own children.
Do you accept credit and debit cards?
Yes. We accept American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard with a minimum charge of $5.00.
What ages are appropriate for Monkey Do?
Monkey Do was designed with younger children in mind (toddlers through approximately 10 years of age), and most of the play structures, inflatables, toys, and games are appropriate and stimulating for these ages. We understand that all children learn and play differently and that parents/caregivers may have multiple children (infant, toddler, and/or a 10-year-old), and our playground and learning center accommodates this range of ages. As with any indoor or outdoor playground, parents should use caution, good judgment and supervise their children at all times while allowing these ages to play together. For the safety of all children, we recommend that your children be toddlers to approximately 10 years to safely enjoy our play facility.
My visiting grandmother isn’t going to play or use any resources, so why do you charge for additional adults?
All people entering a place public of assembly are counted toward occupancy load, and we must provide staffing and cleaning to accommodate our guests.
How often do you clean the facility and toys?
Throughout the day, our staff sanitizes and disinfects our indoor playground
equipment from open to close. We also steam clean our equipment after-hours for additional deep and thorough cleaning. Our expectation is that all of our equipment will be clean when our customers come to use it. If you see anything that is not clean during your visit, please let a staffer know right away so we can take care of it.
Can I bring my child if he or she is sick?
Please use your best judgment as to whether it is appropriate to bring your child to a public play facility if he or she is sick. We do our best to keep Monkey Do clean and safe for everyone’s enjoyment. We are also a place of public assembly, much like an outdoor playground, church, or mall, and we are not a daycare. Children and adults inevitably catch colds, and we keep tissues and hand sanitizers throughout our facility. We expect you to use your common sense. Children and adults with contagious illnesses should refrain from entering, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to a sick child or adult. If you or your child are sick, we would love to have you back when you are healthy. Please be considerate of others, including our staff.
Do you close the playground for birthday parties?
No. We never close the playground for private events unless it is before or after our normal business hours, or on a day we are closed. We are open to the public 7 days a week. For birthday parties, we have 2 party rooms which are exclusively yours during your party. We try to be one of the best kids birthday party places around!
Does everyone have to take their shoes off?
Yes. To keep our indoor play place area clean and safe, children and adults must take their shoes off when entering the play area. For children, grippy socks are required and are available for sale at the front desk. Adults may wear standard socks. For cleanliness, we do not allow bare feet on our playground, so if you arrive wearing sandals, for example, you will be required to purchase socks before entering.
Are strollers allowed?
We do not allow strollers into the facility because they bring in outside dirt, much like shoes do. For your safety, we want to keep our facility as clean as possible. You are welcome to park your stroller inside our front vestibule, and our staff would be happy to assist you.
Can adults play on the play structures?
No. Our structures are recommended only for children ages 1 through 10. If you need to retrieve a child, please let a staff member know. In an emergency, you may enter a play structure or inflatable. If you absolutely must enter a play structure or inflatable, please do not stand and walk to your child. Please crawl so that you do not lose your balance and injure a child or yourself.
Why are children required to remove eyewear to enter the inflatables?
The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the manufacturer’s instructions require that anyone participating in or on an inflatable device is required to remove eyewear, regardless of the durability of the materials, for the safety of all riders. Please see the ASTM guidance on inflatable safety. Children may wear glasses while using the play structures and the remainder playground area.
Are you closed on holidays?
We are closed on most holidays. However, on certain holidays we may be open a partial day. Please call or check our website or Facebook page for details. You should also “like” our Facebook page, and opt to receive notifications. We will always post a notification to Facebook (make sure you select “receive all notifications” to ensure you receive updates), and also to our Instagram.
Do you offer memberships?
Yes, we offer memberships. See the Play page for all pricing details.
How long can we stay at the playground with a paid admission?
Playtime is unlimited once you’ve paid the admission. You can stay until we close, and you can also leave and re-enter the same day with proof of visit (we will document this with a receipt or punch card).
Is food allowed in the playground area?
Food and children’s drinks are allowed only in the café area and private rooms. There is no food of any kind allowed in the play areas. The café area has tables and chairs for your convenience. Please also make sure you wash hands for everyone in your group before allowing them to re-enter the play area.
Can I bring in my own coffee/drink or a snack?
We do not allow any outside food or drinks. We offer delicious food and coffee from our café, and you may eat or drink in the café area only. Party attendees may eat café food in our party rooms. Additionally, if you are hosting a birthday party, you may order pizza from our café for delivery to your party. Party hosts are allowed to bring their own birthday cakes or cupcakes from off-site, as well. While we do not typically sell nuts or items like peanut butter, we are not a nut-free facility.
Is Monkey Do a nut-free facility?
We strive to provide an environment free from nuts or nut products, but we cannot guarantee that we are truly a nut-free facility. Our café does not sell any products containing nuts, though we sell Sun Butter. Additionally, we allow birthday party customers to bring in their own cakes and cupcakes, so we cannot screen all foods that enter our facility for nuts.
What food and drinks am I allowed to bring to my party?
You are allowed to bring your birthday cake, or cupcakes. For all other food and drink needs, including snacks, you may purchase from our café. We also offer cupcakes for sale.
Who is responsible for my children?
You are responsible for watching your own children, for their behavior, as well as making sure they adhere to the safety rules of the playground. If you bring a friend of your child to play, you must have the child’s parent fill out and sign a waiver.
What if someone else’s child is misbehaving and I need help?
Please find a Monkey Do staff member immediately if you are unable to resolve an issue with another parent or caregiver.
